As written in the last entry the weather turned really sour and windy (for those interested… Some 550 km north east the barometer is at 959 mbar and over England currently 1030 – so the difference of 71 mbar causes a lot of distress), so here are some images taken yesterday on our trip here.
In the beginning in the far North-East everything was still quite nice and the dolphins were rounding up a school of fish
Then through the breath-taking landscape over the passes
to the central plains (non fertile deserts) of middle … Iceland …
The wind was picking up more and more (as can be seen by the strange clouds)
The view back
And down over the valley
Amazing landscape
Shades in shades
and once more the “queen” – this time another haircut
Nothingness
a sand storm (no kidding – we have sand everywhere…)
And then towards Myvatn the colours of autumn. Those remembering previous blogs these are birch forests (yes, the things called tree and normally 10m tall – here perhaps 5 cm, but 1 m long (on the ground) )… As there has been some frost before colours are getting out like crazy
