As we had some live music in the local pub on Monday Night we couldn’t resist going there
Quite some people attended
And we were too glad and lucky hearing that it was going to be very good music. Macedonian-Bulgarian tunes which resemble a bit of Klezmer and Northern Greek Music – lovely!
Especially the clarinet was great. The band usually tours (by appointment of the Education Ministry) in Elementary Schools to give children some additional foreign background – I think this might be useful in our home countries, too…
Coming back to the camper at around 22:30 we started to see something appearing in the sky
Yes – Northern Lights!
They are actually active all year round, just mostly not visible. This one was only level 2 (from 10) and we had artificial light but still a very beautiful impression
Sunrise the next morning… Well, the others around us were so loud and non-caring they shook us out of our dreams
As we now have a rather serious gale here in Iceland (partially more than 20m / s and in peaks ) we cannot drive on and have to stay where we are until more or less Friday… Perhaps we do the trip to Akureyri (at least there is a cinema
) Then heading down to Reykjavik for our departure on Saturday. Perhaps… Weather permitting…
