As the weather turned a bit towards “normal” for Scotland we visited Inverewe Garden, which is one of the northernmost botanical gardens in the world. It’s stunning display of rhododendrons and other amazing and beautiful plants is just short of description.
Here are some examples of the beauty we discovered:
These colours…
the magnificent details
The whole garden is created on 20 ha of land around a bay
Can you smell it?
Velvety
Details, details, …
and the whole
Some modern art in between – actually an accident, but I liked it…
Dill?
No, very faint wonderful flowers
A beautiful iris
And just some detail
It was that bright…
another charming rose
These colours are almost unreal
again some detail
So fragile…
A wonderful orchid
and some details again
Tree-bark
Rhododendrons
They can grow quite big as well…
old branches full of flowers
