As we were in Iceland during early summer the poppies were blooming and having found a particular interesting path I couldn’t resist…

They are very fragile and delicate

Some already over the sell by date…

This one just before forming the typical capsula

Others in full bloom

shiny

they usually are white or orange

just enjoy

slighter tones…

an unfolding specimen

and very strong colors, too

In B/W the fragility becomes more pronounced

the paper thin petals

So fine

Freshly unfolded

Like a piece of cloth after a wash
