I don’t know whose ships these are, but for sure they are among the most photographed objects on Mull… As we had just the right conditions for the images (wet, a bit of fog and spare time) I had to get them

Pretty impressive they are still

The hulls laid bare

Just the keels, some wood and the rest

Lying there to rot

you can only get there in low-tide

and then the mood has to be there

somehow sad – beautiful ships

I would guess trawlers some 20 years ago

now just stranded

at least they are there so long that the trees start to grow
