As we were flying home to Scotland via Barcelona (far better connections and somehow the city is too vibrant to miss) we had some 2 nice days there as well.
The room we got was very nice and the view in the evening amazing
it was hard to drag Urzula from it…
The last rays of sun were illuminating the city nicely
and the beach
The next morning after a rather long and / or short (depending which part you consider…) night I was heading out a bit to give Urzula some quality time with her pillow and investigated the environment. Hotel, beach and surroundings
Very sleek
It’s amazing who and when uses the promenade
Around the corner I found some houses under re-construction which were covered beautifully
Like Chriso was there
Like a ghost…
well, not always gentle
the approaching thunderstorm brought me inside again…
But it passed and I was checking out the cruise ships from high up
Having a bit of time I walked down Barceloneta and its small side streets
To come back to the promenade
The cafes were fuller now (first drink in the morning…)
heading back to the coloss
Interesting way of transportation
He was cooler
In the later afternoon towards the old town (Gotico)
Open fire at 35°…
The arcades are always nicely cool and a breeze is going
Nice restaurant and play of words as Cana (with the tilde over the n) is a glass of beer…
All ways lead towards tattoos
Later the day came Gracia with its small corner shops / caffees
Just my sentiment…
Fashion is everywhere
Any they are as well
Inside a perfume boutique
The decoration to sample different tastes
A guest who waited too long
Trying to seduce customers
The spooky houses once more at night
The next day was quite active as all taxis were on 24h strike and we had to get to the airport by public transport… An experience in itself…
