Finally, after a long and tedious process of work and experiments, lasting nearly an entire year, the opening of Ursula’s art exhibition was coming up on the 16th May 2015
Yet, as the pieces were still in our apartment, we had to transport them from Girona
to Bad Wildungen – nearly 1,600 Km…
Yes, they know we are coming…
Finally, after finding the access to the church, which is not simple in an old town,
we made it and unloading started…
Boxes, boxes everywhere…
Where do you place what?
Still some last minute modifications and adjustments by the artist…
The placing of art begins…
Finding the right spots for light & shadow
is a tricky thing
maintaining overall composition as well…
So this changed later on
That’s looking good already!
A tough one – biiiiigg
Setting up pictures without hooks & nails is tricky, too…
Our special one
Now with some artificial lighting
In the chapel
objects about creation and fragility of it
Discussing the service…
Yes, I am spying on you
So, here we start…
Beautiful setting
Welcome speeches…
And the lovely pastor (Kerstin Hartge) who organized everything (together with our friend Lydia Laucht)
The participants of the opening ceremony receive their well deserved applause
And now let the viewing begin
People were impressed
And thanks to the help of our friends the catering was a bliss
Discussions…
Admiration
Loads of admiration… This evening wine was flowing freely
And people in a relaxed mood
“Ah, that’s what I drank”
a nice joke… (about his age? )
The next day was service and then everything came back to normal… Finally… So now a well deserved breakfast in bed
Yes, it’s done…
And the long and tedious way back home with late dinners and tired drivers
