When wandering around in Bangkok you can find plenty of old places where time has gone bye and nature claims back its share

Old letters at the monastry

and faded images

There is something behind it…

But very well guarded…

Someone really loved bright colours and teddy bears

And the local predator keeps a watchful eye (or two)

Another mutant predator

Out of the „Himmapan Forest“ (a mythological forest in Hindu an Buddhist tradition which is home to many special creatures)

Orchids

Just so beautiful

Ginger

And our good old friend the Lotus

With some bees

A very typical temple of the north (Chiang Rai)

Very crowded

And many small nice details

The part where the monks are living

and the mandatory nagas (from Himmapan again)

these are „cannonball flowers“ and Buddhist people clap their hands below them in hope of one opening exactly then as an auspicious sign

For sure they are very beautiful and the smell is a mix of clove, vanilla and quite some other scents

Looking over the Kok river into the mountains

when the evening sets in

a bee’s nest

and a path in a bamboo forest

Towards a nice waterfall

They come with many heads as well…

Entrance guards

A spiritual place

And finally sunset…
